HR2616 would require that any change to the gender or gender expression (including pronouns) of students in elementary and middle schools be approved by a parent.
Status
HR2616 was introduced in the House on April 3, 2025, and referred to the House Education and Workforce Committee where it had initial consideration on April 9, 2025. The committee noted that the bill was amended, but no amendments or new text has been made available to the public at this time.
