At the federal level, resolutions are typically non-binding measures meant to express the opinion of either the House or the Senate. Sometimes they also designate days, weeks, or months for recognizing certain people, events, or efforts. While resolutions typically do not have the force of law, LOVEboldly believes it is important to name resolutions which impact the LGBTQIA+ community and religious communities.

US Senate Resolution 21 (SRes21)

Designates October 10 as “American Girls in Sports Day” and pushes back on any policy that would allow Transgender girls to participate in girls’ sports.

US Senate Resolution 22 (SRes22)

Calls on the NCAA to revoke its policy regarding Transgender women participating in women's sports. SRes22 is identical to HRes47.

US House Resolution 47 (HRes47)

Calls on the NCAA to revoke its policy on Transgender women participating in women's sports.

US House Resolution 52 (HRes52)

HRes52 honors and recognizes the role of LGBTQIA+ organizations.

US House Resolution 59 (HRes59)

HRes59 condemns Bishop Mariann Budde's sermon at the National Prayer Service as "political activism" and a "distorted message."
